(Richmond)- Dominion Energy is warning Virginia residents to watch out for scammers. Company officials say it’s common for phone scams to rise as the temperature does. That’s because people typically use more electricity on hot days. Some things to watch out for includes the caller asking for an immediate payment over the phone, pushing for a prepaid card or saying they’ll shut off a person’s power.
