Neighbors Concerned After Learning Fox Tests Positive For Rabies In SoMD

(Lexington Park)- Pet owners in Southern Maryland are concerned after learning that a fox found in St. Mary’s County tested positive for rabies. The health department says that the fox was located in the Lexington Park area, and the results were confirmed by the Maryland Department of Health. Officials fear that a wild cat may’ve been exposed to the fox as well. In the meantime, officials say make sure your pets are up-to-date with their rabies shots.
