(Richmond)- Some inmates are just days away from seeing faces from outside of their four walls. The Department of Corrections will begin the process of allowing visitors back into their buildings as soon as next week. Starting Thursday, visits will be allowed for attorneys and court officials at D-O-C facilities. By next month, volunteers and religious visitors will be allowed to meet with inmates. Officials at the Department of Corrections say they plan to allow in-person family visits by October 1st.
