(Richmond)- Almost 250 years later, a Richmond church continues to celebrate its role in the founding of our nation. St. Johns Church yesterday held its annual reenactment of Patrick Henry’s Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death speech. Henry gave the speech at the church in 1775 during the Second Virginia Convention. Actors wearing 18th century costumes played the roles of Henry and George Washington, and a reading of the Declaration of Independence followed the speech.
