(Richmond)- It’s July 1st and that means that several new laws are set to take effect across the Commonwealth. Marijuana legalized- anyone over the age of 21 may now possess up to an-ounce of marijuana. Restaurants may sell cocktails for carryout for another year and alcoholic beverages can be delivered. Behind the wheel, motorists must now safely change lanes to pass bicyclists. Voting access has also been expanded that will open polling places on Sundays for absentee voting and anyone with disabilities may vote outside.
