(Richmond)- Those caught littering in Virginia will get hit with a steep fine. The minimum fine is doubling beginning today, jumping from 250-dollars to 500. That’s for “dumping or disposing of litter, trash, or other unsightly matter on public or private property.” The maximum fine is 25-hundred dollars. Officials say there was more litter in the state under the mask mandate due to poor disposal of PPE.
