New Partnership Could Expand Broadband To More Virginians

(Richmond)- Firefly Fiber Broadband is teaming up with Central Virginia’s energy companies to expand service to homes without Internet access. The new agreement could extended internet access to more than 25-thousand Virginians. The project would improve reliability while modernizing the grid to provide better energy solutions. Dominion Energy will be installing fiber in rural areas as an effort to transform Virginia’s energy grid. Dominion Energy Virginia will seek regulatory approval early next year.
