Tornado Confirmed In Northumberland County

(Northumberland)-  The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado did indeed touch down in Virginia on Monday.  Officials declared it an E-F-2 tornado that caused damage in Northumberland County.  There were reports of high winds, downed trees, and power outages.  Several homes were also damaged as a result.  People that were directly impacted by the tornado are being assisted by the Red Cross.
