Minimum Wage Hike Now Effective In Virginia

(Richmond)- An increase in the minimum across Virginia is now in effect.  The new hourly minimum wage is nine-50-an hour.  On January 1st, 2022, the state will raise the rate again to eleven-dollars an hour.  On January 1st, 2023 the rate goes up again to 12-dollars an hour.  This all goes with a plan to increase minimum wage to fifteen-dollars-per-hour by 2026.
