(Richmond)- Five communities are being awarded money to help protect working farms in their area. This year’s funding will go to Albemarle, Clarke, Fauquier, and Stafford counties, as well as the city of Chesapeake. The 270-thousand-dollars in grant money comes from the Virginia Farmland Preservation Fund and it will help provide an incentive to people that want to protect their farm land.
