(Blacksburg)- Virginia Tech is planning to hold multiple in-person commencement ceremonies based on recent guideline changes around graduations. The state says outdoor graduations can host up to five-thousand people or 30-percent of the venue’s capacity. More than eight-thousand Hokies are expected to graduate this spring, so the university will be having multiple events as well as an online ceremony to accommodate the new health protocol.
