Metro Considering Closing Stations

(DC)- The economic downfall of the COVID-19 pandemic could have a major impact on transportation in Northern Virginia and DC. Metro says they might be forced to close more than 20 stations next year if more federal funding does not come. Some of the stations include Smithsonian, Judiciary Square, Federal Triangle and Arlington Cemetery. Metro ridership has been down over the last year due to the COVID crisis and many people working from home.
