(DC)- FEMA has denied Virginia’s request for an emergency declaration. The request would’ve helped to cover expenses surrounding the response to the U.S. Capitol riot and the Presidential Inauguration. This comes after Governor Northam offered up thousands of National Guard troops and State Police troopers to help with security concerns in DC since January 6th. Governor Northam called it “a slap in the face” on Twitter
