(DC)- The National Christmas Tree near the White House is officially lit. It took place last night without the thousands of people who normally come out to watch. The tree is surrounded by 56 smaller trees that represent each state, territory, and DC. COVID-19 forced the National Park Service to not host a crowd for the event.
