(Henrico)- Henrico’s general registrar is confirming thousands of absentee ballots were initially misplaced on Tuesday. Mark Coakley says a memory stick with 14-thousand absentees was labeled as provisional ballots, so they weren’t initially counted on election night. Those votes were tabulated on Wednesday, which ended up helping Abigal Spanberger separate herself in the 7th District Congressional race over Nick Freitas. The Virginia Public Access Project first advised Henrico County that the votes were unaccounted for.
