(Woodbridge)- The Prince William County School Board has approved its 2021-2022 school year calendar. The new school year plan includes holidays that reflect the diversity of the community. Included in the calendar is the traditional two-week winter break over Christmas and New Year’s Day and a spring break near Easter. The new calendar adds the Jewish New Year Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish holy day of Yom Kippur, Diwali, the Hindu Festival of Lights, and the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr. To account for those days, the school year will be extended by five days and will end on June 15th instead of June 10th.
