Overdoses Blamed on Counterfeit Pills

(Winchester)- Counterfeit pills are being blamed for a high amount of overdoses in Virginia. According to the Winchester Star, these fentanyl-laced pills look like prescription pills and are fooling Virginians in the process. State Police say there has been at least 46 deaths and 167 non-fatal overdoses in the region this year alone. Authorities believe the pills are coming from drug trafficking groups in parts of Arizona, California, and Mexico.
