(Richmond)- Governor Northam wants all high schoolers to learn more about the history of African-Americans. The Governor says the state is launching a new African-American history course. It will be an elective for high-school students beginning this year. The course will include a project that will have students conduct research on a question or problem and to initiate a deeper understanding for the history of African-Americans.
