RVA Planning Commission Approves BLM Mural Outside Capitol Square

(Richmond)- Richmond artists are ready to paint a Black Lives Matter mural outside the state Capitol. The Richmond Planning Commission approved a proposal for the project, which would run along Grace Street to the 9th Street entrance of Capitol Square. An executive director with the nonprofit Venture Richmond said the art will encourage solidarity and continued support for the Black community, while also allowing a time for dialogue and reflection.
