(Blacksburg)- Two buildings will look a little different on the outside at Virginia Tech. That’s because the Executive Committee of the Virginia Tech Board of Visitors voted to change the name of two residence halls. Claudius Lee and Paul Barringer will be removed from the buildings after having a history of racism. The halls will be renamed after William and Janie Hoge as well as James Leslie Whitehurst Jr. The three names are prominent African Americans in school history. The decision is likely to be ratified later this month.
