(Northern Neck)- There are now six confirmed tornadoes as a result of Tuesday’s storms in Virginia. The National Weather Service announced two new tornadoes during the height of Tropical Storm Isaias. Two twisters touched down in Northumberland and Lancaster counties. Five people were injured in the EF-2 tornado in Lancaster County. There were no injuries after the EF-1 tornado in Northumberland County. Several tornadoes also touched down in neighboring states Maryland and North Carolina.
