(Richmond)- The Department of Elections in Virginia are issuing a warning to residents about third party mailings. Officials say that the Center for Voter Information has sent out absentee ballot applications to some Virginians that did not request them. Elections officials state they do not use a third party group and they do not associate with this group. It is being called a printing error. Voters that wish to receive an absentee ballot should apply online at vote.elections.virginia.gov. Absentee ballots will begin to be mailed in mid-September.
