(Richmond)- ichmond’s superintendent is seeking to remove school resource officers from campuses. Jason Kamras’ announcement came during a Zoom meeting with students who urged him to do so. The head of the SRO’s for Richmond Police told the Times-Dispatch it would be tragic to take officers out of the schools. Kamras plans to ask the city to direct the SRO money to mental health professionals for schools instead.
