Some Residents Want Charlottesville Streets Named In Honor Of BLM

(Charlottesville)- The City Council in Charlottesville is  considering a proposal to change the name of several streets.   A group of people are proposing the city change three different streets in honor of the Black Lives Matter movement.  The ideas put on the table include Black Excellence Way, Black Lives Matter Avenue, and Black Lives Matter Boulevard.  City policy states that an honorary name should be limited to a person or event that has made an important contribution to the city.  The council is still weighing out the consideration.
