Richmond’s Confederate Monuments to be Removed This Week

(Richmond)- The remainder of the Confederate monuments in Richmond will be removed this week. That is according to Mayor Levar Stoney’s Office but they did not release the details on when exactly they will be taken down. Mayor Stoney ordered that all eleven statues in the city to be removed. The Stonewall Jackson and Matthew Fontaine Maury statues have already been removed from Monument Avenue.
