First Case Of Inflammatory COVID-19 Linked To Children In NoVa

(Fairfax)- Health officials have identified the first case of a rare inflammatory syndrome that affects children after COVID-19. Its called the Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children and it is associated with many children across the nation that have contracted the coronavirus. The child is from the Fairfax area, but their age has not been released. The patient was hospitalized earlier this month, and they are now at home recovering. Some of the symptoms include abdominal pain, rash, and vomiting. Parents are being told to watch for consistent fever in children and contact their pediatrician if their child feels sick.
