(Hanover)- Some inmates are being released from the Pamunkey Regional Jail amid the spread of coronavirus. The superintendent says six non-violent offenders have been let go with home monitoring. The Henrico Sheriff’s office is also trying to identify potential cases there where someone may be able to avoid incarceration. Virginia’s public safety secretary has been urging for local law enforcement to find alternatives.
