(DC)- Officials estimate an outbreak of the coronavirus could cost DC 52 million dollars in tourism business. Tourism generates eight billion dollars annually in Washington and creates 80-thousand jobs. Local health officials say it’s too soon to accurately measure the effect of an outbreak. A dental research group that’s holding an international conference this year in DC says it has already refunded 100-thousand dollars in canceled registrations.
