Maryland Bans Flavored E-Cigarettes

(Annapolis)- Officials in Maryland say they have banned the sale of disposable flavored e-cigarettes. The comptroller made the announcement yesterday that retailers that sell tobacco products will no longer be allowed to sell e-cigarettes unless they are tobacco or menthol flavored. He said the products are “popular among children and we cannot allow them to remain on the market.” If the products are found, they will be seized and the retailer is subject to legal action. The FDA banned the sale of certain e-cigarettes after reports of vaping-related illnesses.
