(Fairfax)- The Fairfax County School Board is taking steps to change the name of Robert E. Lee High School in Springfield. Last night, the school board voted unanimously to change the name. Students claim the name and portrait in the school is egregious and a constant reminder of the Confederacy in the Civil War. The name change could come as early as the summer. It would be the third high school in Virginia to change its name after JEB Stuart became Justice and Washington-Lee became Washington-Liberty.
