Eviction Exhibit On Display At Richmond Library

(Richmond)- An exhibit at the Richmond Public Library is showcasing details of the city’s alarmingly high eviction rates.  The display called “Eviction Crisis” makes use of personal stories, 3-D graphs and maps to help give a clearer picture of the facts behind Richmond’s eleven-point-four-percent rate of eviction.  VCU professor Kathryn Howell told the Richmond Times-Dispatch that there are large structural issues that have led to deep segregation of income stability that’s higher for African-Americans.  Richmond’s eviction rate is second among the largest cities in the U.S.
