(Richmond)- Governor Northam is banning all weapons, including guns from the State Capitol grounds ahead of a rally next week that is addressing gun rights. He declared the temporary state of emergency to ban all weapons from Capitol grounds citing credible threats of violence against the rally. The state of emergency is temporary and will last from Friday at 5 p.m. to Tuesday at 5 p.m. There will be an increased presence of law enforcement and public safety agencies to ensure people are kept safe.
