(Richmond)- Governor Northam signed an executive order to ensure inclusion and opportunity for disabled Virginians yesterday. They are titled Executive Order Forty-Seven and Executive Directive Six. The initiatives will continue equal opportunity employment for those with disabilities while increasing the chance for higher education, accessibility, stakeholder engagement and workforce diversity across the state. The governor says the executive action highlights commonwealth commitment to the same benefits and freedoms of everyday people.
