(Richmond)- State police are partnering with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to keep the roads safe through the holidays. The national Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign will last through January 1st. Local law enforcement and state troopers will increase patrols across the state in an effort to deter drunk and drugged driving. Residents are urged to designate a sober driver before attending events and celebrations or arranging a ride with a ride-sharing service to ensure safety.
