(Southern Maryland)- Charles County School officials say the principal and vice principal at Gale-Bailey Elementary School were fired following a sexual assault at the school. Principal Verniece Rorie and Vice Principal Timothy Rosin were fired yesterday after a 10-year-old boy was accused of sexually assaulting a nine-year-old girl on the playground last week. When administrators didn’t take the accusation seriously, parents called the authorities and superintendent to have them removed. The 10-year-old boy is charged with fourth-degree sex offense and second-degree assault following the incident. Tangela Gales will be the acting principal in the interim.
