(Blacksburg)- Virginia Tech is taking its efforts to research pediatric brain cancer to DC. The university announced that it will lease out a space at Children’s National Hospital, where research teams are expected to work together on new drugs and treatments. Anywhere between five-and-ten-million-dollars will be invested into establishing the labs and hiring research leaders, who could be ready to begin by late 2020. Virginia Tech is already extending its presence around northern Virginia with a campus expansion planned near Amazon’s second headquarters.
