Fredericksburg Man Pleads Guilty To WWII Dog Tag Theft

(Fredericksburg)- A Virginia National Guard sergeant has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor theft. Robert Rumsby, of Fredericksburg, entered a guilty plea at the federal courthouse in Maryland. Rumsby admitted to investigators that he stole four dog tags from the National Archives and Records Administration. The dog tags belonged to four U.S. airmen killed in plane crashes back in 1944.
