VCU To Help Expand Substance Abuse Programs At Eight Universities

(Richmond)- Virginia Commonwealth University is going to have a big hand in helping students recover from substance abuse.  Governor Ralph Northam announced yesterday the school has been awarded a 675-thousand-dollar grant to expand program services at eight Virginia universities.  VCU’s collegiate recovery program called Rams In Recovery is expected to be the model behind the substance abuse initiatives.  Rams In Recovery’s coordinator says students thrive when you support them in recovery, which attracts other struggling students.
