FBI, MPD Rescue Sex Trafficking Victims

(DC)- Authorities say they rescued two teenagers from sex trafficking and arrested seven suspects yesterday. The FBI Washington Field Office and Metropolitan Police charged those seven with Sex Trafficking of Children. The operation was part of the FBI’s Innocence Lost National Initiative. The coordinated program recovered 103 child victims across the country and led to the arrest of 67 sex traffickers. Police reported 84 human trafficking cases in DC last year.
