Northam Signs Order To Push For Affordable Healthcare

(Richmond)- Governor Northam is directing state officials to help find Virginians accessible and affordable health care. He signed an executive order which serves as a directive to find ways to streamline eligibility and enrollment, reduce health care costs and reach eligible citizens who haven’t enrolled in Medicaid. Senate Majority Leader Tommy Norment says the announcement was motivated by the approaching election. The governor’s office says it has more to do with Northam’s budget proposal, which is set for a December release.
