Pumpkins Among State’s Top Agricultural Products

(Richmond)- A seasonal hit is one of the top agricultural products in the state for the first time.  The Virginia Department of Agriculture is reporting pumpkins cracked the top 20 in the state for 2018.  Over ten-million-dollars’ worth of pumpkins were sold commercially.  A Shenandoah County man won a blue ribbon at the Virginia State Fair this week with a pumpkin that weighed more than half-a-ton.
