Drought Conditions Take Hold In Commonwealth

(Richmond)- Dry conditions are causing problems in the commonwealth. Several counties in central Virginia implemented burn bans yesterday, adding to more than a dozen other cities and counties in southwest Virginia already under bans. The U.S. Drought Monitor issued findings yesterday that show more than half of the state is in either a moderate or severe drought. The National Weather Service says increased winds and low humidity will increase fire danger today in the eastern part of the state.
