Health Officials Report Vaping-Related Death Of Virginia Resident

(Richmond)- The first vaping-related death of a Virginia resident is being confirmed. The state Department of Health is reporting a person from southwest Virginia died at a hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina last week. The number of lung illnesses linked to e-cigarettes has risen to over 30 in Virginia, while more than 800 have been confirmed by the CDC nationwide. The American Vaping Association is blaming the outbreak on tainted, black-market THC products.
