Virginia Beach To Consider E-Scotter Ban At The Oceanfront

(Virginia Beach)- Virginia Beach leaders could soon ban e-scooters at the Oceanfront.  City Council is set to consider a resolution on Tuesday that prohibits them to be used east of Arctic Avenue between Rudee Loop and 42nd Street.  Mayor Bobby Dyer says they’re too dangerous to ride in such a densely-populated area.  Two council members are openly against the ban and feel they need to let their pilot program play out.  At least ten people have been treated at Virginia Beach General Hospital for scooter injuries over the summer.
