Chesterfield Murder Suspect Not Guilty By Reason Of Insanity

(Chesterfield)- A man charged in the murder of an Army vet in Chesterfield County is not guilty by reason of insanity.  George Buschmann was accused of gunning down Robert Gooch outside a Wawa in January.  Gooch was a father of three and was only days away from retiring from the Army at the time of the shooting.  Buschmann’s sister says he was diagnosed with schizophrenia.  Commonwealth’s attorney Scott Miles said after yesterday’s verdict that he’ll be pushing for Buschmann to undergo mental health treatment in a secure environment.
