(Richmond)- Marijuana arrests are on the rise in Virginia. The nearly 29-thousand arrests in 2018 were almost triple those reported by Virginia State Police in 1999. Attorney General Herring is leading a push in the state to decriminalize small amounts of pot to help prevent people from losing out on education and employment opportunities. He says an arrest can stay with someone for half their life.
