Two Dead After Respiratory Outbreak In Fairfax County

(Fairfax)- Health officials are investigating a respiratory outbreak that has possibly caused the death of two people in Fairfax County. The health department says 18 people from the Greenspring Retirement Community in Springfield have been hospitalized in the last two weeks. Two patients who had pneumonia died. The outbreak is reportedly contained to the assisted living facility in the community. State officials are testing samples to try to pinpoint the cause.
