Record Number Of Virginians Expected To Travel For Holiday

4th-travel

(Richmond)- A record number of Virginians are expected to travel over the July 4th holiday period.  Triple-A is predicting one-point-three million from the state will be hitting the road or traveling by air, which would make it the largest number ever for Virginia since stats were first tracked in 2000.  The DOT is suspending work zones to help ease traffic woes.  Traveling will also be a little easier on the wallet than last year, with gas prices about 20-cents lower than Independence Day 2018.
