(Richmond)- The state is giving Virginia tax payers a refund this fall. Individuals will receive 110-dollars and jointly-filed married couples will get 220-dollars, as long as their state income taxes are filed by July 1st. The refund comes in response to federal tax law changes that resulted in higher state income taxes. The state is expecting to send out refund checks sometime between mid-September to mid-October.
