(Richmond)- Richmond’s mayor wants to ban guns from government buildings and parks. Levar Stoney introduced an ordinance yesterday to keep people from carrying guns in those places, although the city cannot pass such a measure under current state law. State lawmakers are expected to tackle gun control legislation when they meet for a special session in July. Stoney says he wants Richmond to be prepared once the General Assembly acts on the measure.
